We collect data on your site usage from our analytics and tracking code, Google Analytics. This data tells us which pages you visit, how you reached them, and sometimes how long you were on them. This includes information like what shipping country, price range, and item types you select when filtering the store list. Google Analytics also provides us with demographics information such as the following:
The Plus Kit uses user data to better tailor the site to our users. Understanding our user base helps us understand who the site is serving well, and who it could serve better. For example, knowing about the sort of internet you're on helps us consider whether the site is too high-bandwidth for our users. Another example is that seeing where traffic drops off from the site tells us what pieces of the site are confusing or uninteresting to users.
Currently no companies receive any data from The Plus Kit. If this changes, you will be able to find information here at thepluskit.com/privacy regarding the change. Read more details »
Another method we may use to store information in your browser is Local Storage. Local Storage has some similarities to Cookies, but unlike Cookies, Local Storage can only be read and interacted with by your browser, not the Plus Kit‘s server. This means that no one can access this data by compromising the Plus Kit‘s server, it is stored only on your device via your browser. The security of data in Local Storage is only as strong as the security you maintain on your device.
The Plus Kit will never email you asking for your username, password, or other private information. Do not respond to any email that requests information of this nature from you, even if it looks like it is from us.
The Plus Kit does not currently share any data with third parties beyond what is outlined above in our collection of data using Google Analytics. If this changes, we will provide the following details about data collection here at thepluskit.com/privacy:
